About Us

The Java Tree Roasters, Cafe & Bakery is the result of a years discovery of specialty coffee. The term ‘specialty coffee’ refers to a niche market in the coffee industry that focuses on a higher quality coffee than what is typically available in most grocery stores, cafes, and restaurants. It’s coffee that is special in the way it’s grown and special in the way it’s processed, roasted, prepared and presented. And most importantly, specialty coffee is special in the way it tastes. The flavors, aromas, and body in specialty coffee are more pleasant and intense than what you would find in other coffee. The Java Tree prides itself in brining speciality coffee, made from coffee beans imported from Ethiopia, to the Las Vegas Area. In addition, the Java Tree serves serves up tasty, healthy, and nutritious, breakfast to Vegans that are tired of the same old options.

From Ethiopia to Vegas

The origin of coffee is Ethiopia. There is a popular Ethiopian legend that coffee is discovered by a goat herder named Kaldi back in the 10th century, who found his goats full of energy after eating the red fruit of the coffee shrub. Kaldi tried the fruit for himself and his exhilaration prompted him to bring the berries to an Islamic monk, but the Sufi monk disapproved of their use and threw them into a fire, from which an enticing aroma billowed. The roasted beans were quickly raked from the embers, ground up, and dissolved in water, yielding the world’s first cup of coffee. Now, The Java Tree is bringing this coffee tradition to a local coffee shop in Las Vegas, that prides itself in serving our local community with the highest quality coffee crafted with premium coffee beans imported from Ethiopia. We have no doubt you will have the best cup of coffee at the Java Tree Cafe and Bakery in Las Vegas, Nevada.

What Our Customers Are Saying

I really liked this place. Cozy. Interestingly decorated in warm wood tones, with many coffee knick knacks and illustrations of the history of coffee throughout. Many different size places to park yer butt, from a row of single bar stools, to small 2 person tables, to larger tables. Many have AC outlets nearby if u need to plug in your laptop or charge your phone. Good WiFi signal.

And big bonus, they have a small interesting menu of Ethiopian food, AND they are connected to a full Ethiopian restaurant next door, so you can get a full on Ethiopian meal.

Their coffee and tea selections are super varied and high test.

Finally, the staff were all delightful and all smiles and always helpful.

This is a hidden gem of a coffee shop in Chinatown.
